  9. This section is where you can place small ads. They can be on any subject
  10. that you like eg FOR SALE,  WANTED,  PERSONAL, MESSAGES, HINTS, TIPS ,USER 
  11. GROUPS etc.  The only rule is that adverts must be submitted before every 
  12. issue  of  STEN.  This is to rule out the possibility of  the  advertiser 
  13. dropping their service without telling us.

  16. will not be tolerated!

  117. I  have a growing collection of public domain discs (400+) and would  like 
  118. to share them with ST users everywhere. I have them all listed to disc and 
  119. on receipt of a blank disc and a stamped addressed envelope I will send  a 
  120. copy  to anyone who wants it.  Please bear in mind I am not a PD  library, 
  121. just an ST(E) user who wants to share his collection with everybody else.

  123. It is also a good way to obtain PD discs if your budget doesn't run to the 
  124. £2-£3  price that the mainstream PD libraries charge for  their  discs.  I 
  125. would also hope it would be a good way to obtain new friends and contacts.

  127. All  my discs are double sided so single sided ST owners are out  of  luck 
  128. I'm  afraid!  If  you own a singled sided drive get in touch  for  special 
  129. arrangements to be made, okay?

  131. I  will  also swap any of my discs for any interesting PD that  you  might 
  132. have in your own collections. More details when you get in touch.

  189. ALTERNATIVES
  190. ------------
  191. There are now a number of PD libraries around which are run by enthusiasts
  192. and provide users with software for next to nothing, and my service, 
  193. Network, is no differnt.  I currently have around 300 or so D/s disks 
  194. including  demos, games, utilities etc.. which are all fairly full with
  195. some of the best in PD.  I don't provide disks or sell the software, you 
  196. simply have to provide the disks and of course the return postage,  there
  197. is no charge in any way or form.  If you wish to include software on your 
  198. disks then please do so, after all it's the easiest way to help the
  199. library grow and to help others.
  200.  
  201. The return of software can take upto two weeks although this is due to the
  202. fact that I will  customise disks  for you if you wish, I can even archive
  203. programs for you and provide a suitable de-archiver and instructions.

  205. The only limit on my service is that you may only order a  maximum of TEN
  206. disks at any one time,  due to the fact that this is a free service run to
  207. reduce the amount of money you need to spend to acquire free software.
  208.  
  209. If you are new to the ST and just need some help and advice then get in
  210. touch. I am always happy to pass on what I know in  any way I can.  My 
  211. service is open to anyone including single sided drive owners, just let me
  212. know your set up and I'll do my best to accomadate you.

  232.      IMAGE ART is a PD library specialising in clip art,  fonts,  and  art 
  233. programmes for the ST,   although they are planning to expand into the  PC 
  234. and  Macintosh  worlds  very shortly.    What makes  them  different  from  
  235. other  libraries is that they will supply printouts of all pictures  on  a 
  236. clip art disc for £1.50.   This includes a 50p voucher redeemable  against 
  237. any future order.

  239.      The library is being added to continually and contains IMG clip  art, 
  240. GEM,  Calamus and Pagestream fonts,  plus selected art, picture conversion 
  241. and  utilities discs.   They also distribute specialist  commercial  prog-
  242. rammes  such  as printer drivers for the Integrex 132  and  Canon  PJ1080A 
  243. colour jet printers,  high-quality blanks for astrology charts,  and  even 
  244. "The General Equation of Physics Uniquely Specified Universe Model".

  246.      The latest catalogue is available for £1.50,  and PD discs cost £2.50 
  247. each,  with  reductions for larger orders.   All in all,  a very  well-run 
  248. library and one that we at STEN can recommend to anyone seriously involved 
  249. in DTP.
